The Aphelandra snowflake, also known as the zebra plant, is an attractive indoor plant with dark green leaves adorned with white patterns. Here are some tips for caring for the Aphelandra snowflake:

  1. Light: Place your Aphelandra snowflake in a bright location, but avoid direct sun exposure, especially during the hottest hours of the day. Bright, indirect light is ideal.

  2. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged. Water when the top layer of soil begins to dry out. Be careful not to leave the plant in a saucer of standing water, as this can lead to root rot problems.

  3. Humidity: The Aphelandra snowflake prefers high humidity. You can increase the humidity around the plant by placing a pebble tray filled with water nearby or by using a humidifier.

  4. Temperature: Maintain the plant in a constant temperature range between 18 and 24°C (64-75°F). Avoid cold drafts and significant temperature fluctuations.

  5. Fertilization: During the growing season (spring and summer), feed the plant every two weeks with a balanced indoor plant fertilizer. Reduce the frequency during autumn and winter.

  6. Pruning: Prune the plant to encourage compact growth and to remove yellowed or damaged leaves.

  7. Winter Rest: During winter, slightly reduce watering and avoid fertilizing. This will allow the plant a period of rest.

  8. Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix for indoor plants. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent water accumulation.

  9. Common Problems: Monitor for insect infestations, especially spider mites. Treat insect problems quickly with appropriate methods.

Please note that we offer delivery throughout Quebec only for plants, pots 6'' and under, and accessories (jewelry, candles, plush toys).

Larger items (large plants, bulk items, and others) are available for pickup only and local delivery (45km and less). We are pleased to offer you local delivery for your plant purchases. You can choose between two time slots for delivery: 9 am to 12 pm or 12 pm to 5 pm.

However, please note that in some cases, particularly when we receive large orders requiring longer preparation time, we may not be able to meet the chosen time slot. We make every effort to ensure your plants are delivered the same day, but it is possible that we may sometimes exceed the estimated time.
