✂️ Care
Pinch stems in early summer to encourage dense branching and more generous flowering. After summer blooming, cut the plant back to 10-15 cm (4-6 in) from the ground to prepare for winter. Apply an organic mulch at the base to protect the roots and enrich the soil. Divide clumps every 3 to 4 years in spring to maintain vigor and rejuvenate the plant.
Water regularly during the first year to establish a robust root system. Once well-rooted, the plant tolerates dry periods well and requires little maintenance.
Staking is rarely necessary thanks to its compact and vigorous habit. In autumn, leave dried stems in place to provide winter interest and protect basal buds.
