This celery boasts the best of both its parents, combining the beautiful red stalks of 'Giant Red' with the adaptability and hardiness of the green celery 'Ventura'. It thrives in very fertile soil with plenty of water, producing delicious, deep glossy red stalks that contrast beautifully with its emerald green foliage. Blanched stalks can be harvested one by one for an uninterrupted supply of celery for salads. Alternatively, you can wait for the plants to mature to obtain partially blanched stalks with a golden-pink heart.
