Compact, upright plants produce delicious, golden-yellow beans, stringless (that tough string sometimes found on beans) and measuring 12 to 17 cm long. Of French origin, this heritage variety achieves exceptional performance, even in wet and cold growing conditions. The black-seeded pods with a delicate flavor can be eaten fresh, steamed, sautéed, and in soups or stews. They are at their best when they are still young and thin and their yellow color is still tinged with a little green. The plants are vigorous and very productive. Also sold under the names 'Golden Rocky' or 'Rocdor'.
