The Veitchia adonidia, also known as the adonidia palm, is a beautiful houseplant that resembles a small palm tree. Here's how to care for it:

1. Light: Place your Veitchia adonidia in a bright location, but avoid direct exposure to scorching sun. It thrives in bright, indirect light. If the plant is indoors, ensure it receives enough natural light by placing it near a window.

2. Watering: Water regularly, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Make sure the pot has good drainage to prevent root rot. Generally, it requires more frequent watering during warmer months and less frequent in winter.

3. Humidity: The Veitchia adonidia prefers a moderately humid atmosphere. You can increase the humidity around the plant by using a pebble tray filled with water under the pot or by using a humidifier.

4. Temperature: Keep the plant at temperatures between 18°C and 24°C (65°F and 75°F). It does not tolerate temperatures below 10°C (50°F) well. Protect it from cold drafts.

5. Fertilizer: Fertilize the Veitchia adonidia with a balanced houseplant fertilizer approximately once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce fertilizer frequency in autumn and winter.
